Developmental initiatives during the last 7 years
- New MPP Capacitor Plant at an investment of Rs.4 Crores was commissioned by the Hon'ble Minister for Industries Sri. A.C Moideen in March 2017.
- The foundation stone for the Smarakam of Padma Bhushan Dr. K.P.P. Nambiar who was the founder chairman of Keltron was laid by the then Hon'ble Minister for Industries Sri. E.P Jayarajan in December 2018. The “KPP Nambiar Electronics Research & Development Centre” (KPP Nambiar Smarakam) was completed at a cost of Rs.2 Crores and was inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan in February 2021.
- The foundation stone of India's first Supercapacitor Production Facility at an investment of Rs.18 crores was laid by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Kerala Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan in February 2021. The project is completed and pilot production started in January 2024.
- New MPP Capacitor Production Facility completed at an investment of Rs.2 Crores and was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Kerala Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan in February 2021.
- New MPP Rectangular Capacitor Production Facility completed at an investment of Rs.2 Crores and was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Minister for Industries Sri. P. Rajeev in November 2022.
- Expansion of Electrolytic Capacitor Production Facility at an investment of Rs.2 Crores was completed and inaugurated by the Hon'ble Minister for Industries Sri. P. Rajeev in November 2022.
- Government of Kerala invested Rs. 17 Crores as Equity investment in KCCL during 2021-22 and 2022-23 (GOVERNMENT'S EQUITY IN KCCL).
- KCCL was selected for the PLI Incentive Scheme of the Central Government. KCCL is one of the 30 companies in India approved for PLI Scheme. KCCL was also approved for the M-SIPS Incentive Scheme of the Central Government.
- The Company's R&D Centre ("KPP Nambiar Electronics Research and Development Centre") has received DSIR Registration from the Central Government Department of Science and Technology.
- The company has received ISO 9001:2015 certification and BIS certification (ISI Mark) / ROHS certification for company products.
